However, the weather man also said that cooler weather would also arrive to bring down temperatures later in the week. But especially above around 1000 feet in elevation (there are a lot of mountains in California from 1000 feet to 14,000 plus like Mt. Whitney and Mt. Shasta and others) so the problem is that above 1000 feet the winds might get really bad. So, people who are still hiking and camping near fires that exist already need to take care the next few days because of the winds. Hopefully, they hear about the winds that will make the fires much worse the next few days. The other problem with fires in a wind is embers often travel on the winds and then make new fires 10, 20, 30 or 40 or 50 miles away which is really problematic for California this year.
