And later explained all this to a friend. The man had tried to ride the electric motorcycle and found that it said he could get 40 miles on a charge. However, upon testing the motorcycle he found that he would only get 40 miles a charge IF he only rode the motorcycle at 8 mph the 40 miles.
IF he actually rode it at it's top speed which was 30 mph he only got 8 miles of battery life which brings one to the problem of many 2 wheeled motorcycles and bicycles being sold now. I suppose one answer would be would be to charge 2 batteries or more so you lengthen the distance you can travel between charges.
Then because of all this the guy put a gas powered generator on a 2 wheeled child carrier and put it behind the electric motorcycle and towed it. Then he realized that as long as he put gas in the Gasoline powered generator that he had created a hybrid motorcycle by doing this. I suppose eventually we will see hybrid motorcycles created and built for burning less gas worldwide at some point.
NOTE: I just looked up and it appears there are hybrid motorcycles already for sale or being developed around the world right now.
