How?
Each day we are sort of a different person. Wouldn't you like to be able to talk to in some way all the other people you have been throughout your life?
It makes your understanding of yourself so much better in many different ways.
I find it makes living one's life much less confusing in general.
It creates more order and certainty in your life often to write down your thoughts as they arrive.
I have written many times about how I starting writing because my 16 year old cousin died in a car crash when I was 8 years old and how I tried to make sense of feeling so vulnerable because my cousin died.
I found it helpful in many ways then so I continued to write and to doodle (doodling just means you are drawing different things expressing your thoughts and feelings in various ways). just very simple drawings helping you deal with some aspects of your life.
Then if you keep what you have written like in a Spiral Notebook or even loose leaf sheets in a binder or something like this or even digitally if you wish then you have an ongoing record of these thoughts.
Another way to do this is to record the sounds of you speaking your native language or videoing yourself thinking out loud about whatever is useful to you to talk about.
Often when you most need to talk about something there is no one appropriate to talk to so then you can become your own confidant so to speak in this way. So, sometimes it's not writing you need but only communication of yourself today with your self in the future. This helps enlighten your future self.
Also, if you are parenting yourself on into the future this can be helpful too. In a sense our subconscious minds stay about 2 1/2 years old for life. So, RAISING yourself into adulthood and beyond and caring for yourself in all ways often leads to a good life and even to a happy old age ongoing.
Just remember (garbage in Garbage out). In other words if you only stuff shit into your brains then you can ONLY become Shit for Brains!
So, be careful with yourselves. Value yourselves. Be compassionate to yourselves and all others if you can.
