We saw temperatures as high as 88 degrees coming through Paso Robles and points north on Highway101.
The grasses are becoming more dry (at least at the surface of them) and higher (some mustard Grasses and other grasses are now 4 to 6 feet tall along Interstate 5 so Caltrans mowers are often along the way now trying to mow this from medians on highways like 101 so cigarette started fires don't happen from smokers being careless and throwing their still lighted butts out the windows of cars and trucks. We did see a few acres burned here and there from this happening along the way.
In some parts of Southern California the fires one by one are starting but luckily they haven't gotten bad yet anywhere except in Canada where there is a severe drought like we had for 20 years here in California.
So, mostly this was a very pleasant trip with Oak trees and other trees and bushes along the way more green than I remember seeing them in my lifetime here in California which now goes back to when I was 4 years old and first came to California from Seattle where I was born. we came to California in 1952.
