Or maybe better said, "Belief Creates reality".
Many people might think that reality creates consciousness and there IS something to be said of that too.
For example, if you are in the middle of the street and a truck is bearing down on you it does appear that reality does create reality.
However, I find that most of the time Consciousness (or Belief) actually creates reality.
What you believe in life you tend to create as a sort of self fulfilling prophesy.
Is this good or bad?
I think likely most of the time it is both simply because we cannot ALWAYS control what we believe or think.
However, my experience has taught me through a whole lot of suffering during my life that:
"Compassion for oneself and the rest of life in the universe is the most powerful and useful stance in regard to life."
Why?
Because if you don't have compassion for yourself you are liable to commit suicide directly or indirectly
And if you don't have compassion for others one of them is liable to kill you directly or indirectly.
Understanding this, if you want to live to an old age (I'm presently 75 years old) it makes sense why having compassion for yourself and all others is the way to go IF you actually want any chance at all of living to see old age to begin with.
