How was piloting a plane different than I thought as a child?
Once again I'm trying to share how to master ""when you think about something you are already th...
purple is link and full statement is: "
"when you think about something you are already there as much as you are feeling about how you are there"
So,
once again after using driving a car as an example, there is an equal
discipline in Soul Travel to driving a car or piloting a plane. However,
it's always better to be traveling with Angels when you are Soul
Traveling for some good purpose.
The
first time I was allowed to pilot a plane I was 8 years old in Santa
Fe, New Mexico. We were at a church conference and I likely lived then
in either Tujunga or Glendale at that point because we moved when I
entered the 3rd grade to Glendale in Los Angeles County.
I
was flying a Piper Tri-pacer then but I wasn't allowed to take off the
plane only fly it around Santa Fe under the supervision of the
instructor. This was my first experience piloting a small plane (but not
the last).
The
next time I think we flew around Mt. Shasta in a Cessna 172. The pilot
said the mountain had strange wind currents and if we were flying a 152
Cessna that we could crash from those wind currents around mt. Shasta so
we circled the mountain and I didn't get to pilot the plane then
because of these wind currents. People in hang gliders and paragliders
sometimes died on Mt. Shasta because of these strange wind currents that
actually are pretty normal around big mountains like this.
The
next time I piloted a plane I was also around 10 years old with my
father's best friend who had his own plane, a 1949 Stinson which seated 4
or 5 people I think. I remember his friend seating me in the left seat
because he wanted me to fly the plane after it took off from Yucca
Valley Airport (where he had a Weekend vacation house) back to Los
Angeles. He taught me to "Crab" into the wind so we wouldn't be blown
sideways in to San Gorgonio mountain while flying back to Los Angeles
County. So, the plane had to be flown at an angle not to be blown into
the mountain. It was this day that I began to see that flying is more
like sailing a boat than I realized before.
So,
i pushed the left pedal to keep the plane flying but we were at an
angle so flying with our right wing in front of the nose of the plane to
keep from crashing into Mt. San Gorgonio which was over 11,000 feet. We
were flying I believe at around 7000 feet for safety because we were
being buffeted by the winds even at that altitude. It's less stressful
for the wings at higher altitudes because the air is thinner and pushes
against the wings in all directions less at higher altitudes.
And
generally speaking winds above 10,000 feet are easier to deal with than
below 10,000 feet because of this too. This is why passenger Jets often
fly at 39,000 feet because wind currents don't whip the plan around as
much as they do below 10,000 feet.
The point here is what people think driving a car or flying a plane is often is much different when you actually do it.
The
same exact thing is true of Soul travel. So, if you want to survive
soul travel I recommend traveling with Angels because they will help you
stay alive while you are doing this.
