Safe in Santa Barbara

We drove down to Santa Barbara today. Really beautiful day to travel. It will be about 80 degrees in Santa Barbara tomorrow so I'm really looking forward to that because I haven't seen that high a temperature in quite a while likely since at least early December or November and even then likely it was in Santa Barbara when I last saw this temperature maybe.

The hills are green everywhere as we traveled south. Then Santa Cruz Island and Santa Rosa Island and San Miguel Island were all visible today. My wife used to sail as far as San Miguel Island with her father and mother on their yacht when she was a teenager out of Santa Barbara then and went to a private school in this area then too. So, coming south on such a beautiful amazing day was really nice. Since I'm around 6 feet 5 inches we stopped in a Big and Tall Store because our friend had moved his store from Santa Barbara to SLO. So, we always bought some of my clothes through his Big and Tall store in Santa Barbara and this was the first time I've ever been to their new store in SLO.

What an amazingly beautiful day to Travel!

The Oak trees were starting to bloom as they grow wild over most of California except in the deserts. However, they mostly live below around 3000 or 4000 feet, above there it is often Pine and Fir trees. And Along the Coast in the coastal range there are a lot of Redwood trees in the more northern part of the state. And of course there are always the Sequoia Redwoods in Sequoia National Park as well in the High Sierra Mountains nearer to Nevada but still in California.
