The Way Back: The Movie
Theatrical release poster
I just watched "The Way Back" made in 2010 at netflix streaming. It reminded me a little of "7 Years in Tibet" except this is mostly Polish and Russian men and one American who escape from a Siberian Gulag or prison camp and walk all the way to India through Tibet to escape from Communist Russia in 1939. It is based upon a true story just like "7 Years in Tibet". It mostly made me realize just how easy most of us have it today compared with then. And even though the last few years have been difficult for most people it isn't anything like escaping from a Prison camp in Siberia and then walking to India while watching several of your friends die from the elements along the way. I enjoyed the movie a lot!
