Some people are really upset with worldwide governments not telling them the truth about anything.
However, I have a different point of view.
Basically, I see it like this. Mostly since I have been more affluent I tend to worry less about all things because I have sort of gotten out of a desperate way of thinking about things.
Also, since I have almost died several times since 1998 and since I was 2 from whooping cough and then between ages 10 and 15 blunt trauma childhood epilepsy I tend to be more calm than most people about a lot of things. Also, deciding to become a more compassionate person and meditating on compassion has made me a lot less paranoid than most people I meet along the way. So, I find I am much more peaceful, logical and rational than most people I meet because of this. So, I stay more calm no matter what information I am given about anything.
Here is what I think about governments not telling people more about radiation problems worldwide:
If they told us the truth it would only create worldwide panic for which there is no useful solution.
Let me repeat that:
If governments told us the truth about radiation worldwide it would set off a worldwide panic that could not be controlled sort of like when Orson Wells read the "War of the Worlds" in 1939 on the radio and people thought it was real and 7 people died panicking on the East Coast.
The truth isn't good. Being aware of the truth is important to get away from harm and to take your family away from harm if possible.
However, in regard to things like Fukushima radiation and the radiation that has or will leak from all nuclear power plants over 50 years old eventually on earth isn't something that people have much control of. Because what are you going to do with these old facilities? It was inevitable that there would be radiation poisoning eventually even when they were built. People worldwide didn't really think this whole thing through far enough then in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s worldwide.
What happens when you make a radiation cooling system and then set it deep in cement but then aren't dealing with the real life facts of what happens to all pipes in time?
That's right! All pipes eventually corrode with time and they are going to leak.
How do you fix something like that?
You can't really without exposing workers to radiation. That's a fact regarding all nuclear power plants on earth.
You might make robots that do this however. And that I feel is why the U.S. (DARPA) is so busy having contests and making robots that can work even while being radiated worldwide in these situations where old pipes (50 years or more ago) set in cement that no human could survive repairing can eventually be repaired by robots who don't care if they are radiated or not.
Later Note:
After thinking about this some more people might say, "Why don't we use plastic pipes because plastic pipes with thick walls don't ever corrode if not in the sunlight?" The problem with Plastic pipes to prevent corrosion is that plastic pipes might deteriorate with radiation in proximity to them in nuclear cooling piping systems. The other problem with plastic pipes would be bombs and earthquake like events which would cause plastic pipes to break.
So, a long term (75 to 100 or more year) solution for nuclear power plants cooling systems regarding piping simply presently does not exist in any practical way at present. So, until someone designs something that doesn't break in earthquakes, corrode over time, break from bombs or shock or other hazards, nuclear power plants are not going to be safe long term ever.
