I was talking to my friend who lives in Carmel Valley today and he said it was presently 82 degrees (with a high of 84 there today). This is really unusual because he said the average temperature there this time of year would likely be about 45 degrees in the daytime instead of 84. So, we are talking about at least 40 degrees higher than normal.
However, it is true that from Seattle to Portland and spreading Eastward is a polar vortex taking everyone down about 20 degrees on average Fahrenheit which is the opposite of what is happening here.
Picture this: For Carmel Valley, California usually one of the Coldest Days of the year would be Thanksgiving (Around November 25th most years) with below freezing temperatures at night somewhere between 27 degrees Fahrenheit to 32 degrees Fahrenheit. However, this year who knows?
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
