It might be hard for us in America to see it this way, but it has always been based upon economics. IN the beggining white people got upset because Black people were freed and to white people it was like "The things they owned left".
Then there is reverse racism which is Black people saying, "We are pissed off at you for owning our ancestors which is genuine too.
Then in 1964 President Johnson passed the Civil Rights Bill which help diffuse a lot of hate both directions ever since. But what people often don't realize is that around 1964 was the single richest time the US. per capita (in what the average working man and woman could buy with their wages (for all time) and it has been on the decline ever since because of rising oil prices out of sight and many other factors.
So, as jobs became more scarce throughout the 2000s more black people got left out and now there is rage like white people did something to them. But, the real problem is the buying power of the average American is declining and declining in real terms. So, of course there is anger but now the anger is misplaced. Because what American society in rich times could do for all people is not at all what it can do for people now. So, both white and black and every race of people now feel betrayed.
And the less people understand about economics and buying power of the average person the angrier they are going to get.
And this is not only the problem of racism in America, it is also why all problems in America are getting worse and worse because of less and less buying power of the average person on an average person's wages and the inability of the average person to get the kind of life they both want and need.
However, then some of them travel to other countries and then see just how good life actually is here compared to most places. But, until someone does this they really don't know.
