This might seem paradoxical to you but it is not.
I believe in being as compassionate as I can to myself and others all the time. However, I'm also prepared to die each and every moment or defending myself or the ones I love.
The Native Americans once said a lot, "It's a good day to die!" which just means I'm ready if it is necessary. So, I think that is a useful attitude to take that you are prepared to die either naturally or fighting for the ones you love and yourself. Being prepared each moment for this is important even though most people these days are much to unrealistic to face this truth.
You cannot really be prepared to truly live your life unless you are also totally prepared to die right now too. Otherwise you are living in a fantasy that resembles more a cartoon and not real reality anyhow.
I usually can sense when I'm around people like this. It's sort of like watching a cartoon of people rather than people who actually are living in their bodies and making life or death decisions every day of their lives.
It is sad when people die without ever really having lived at all.
Don't just live in a cartoon the rest of your lives.
Live a life that has real meaning.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
