Everyone in some ways is different and unique but also in some ways everyone is also the same.
Especially for my generation of Baby Boomers "There are no Atheists in Foxholes" which basically only means if you think you are going to die everyone hopes there is a God and a heaven.
So, in my life a path was very important. Was it important for me to believe in God? Yes. I likely wouldn't be alive now without this belief. Is there really a God? This is actually less important to me as time goes on than it once was.
For example, is there some guy sitting on a throne in a human body judging us all. Probably not.
However, is there one being that doesn't need a human or other body who might not die who may have created this Galaxy and a member of a species that builds galaxies for just about the same reason humans build farms. Very likely.
So, I guess what I'm saying is "each of us needs a path and a purpose" in the world I live in.
You might believe something different. And if whatever you believe in keeps you alive then that is what you believe in.
But, for me, the biggest part of my path is not whether God exists or not or lives on a throne like in the Cistene Chapel touching mankind's hand, the biggest part of my path is kindness towards all other beings in the universe.
From my point of view we are all parts of God just like each drop of water in an ocean is in a sense the ocean itself in microcosm.
So, can you separate the drop from the ocean when they are joined as one?
I think not.
So, remember you are the whole ocean of life too as well as the drop of life. It makes life a lot easier to bear.
