Unfortunately, the winners not the losers write history. So, when we look back what we here is through the perspective of the winners and not usually through the eyes of the losers.
The winners all depict themselves as righteous because if they didn't they could not live with winning. However, if you have ever seen people bloody each other in a fight like I have growing up in the 1950s and 1960s neither person is definitely right or wrong about anything. Often they are fighting about a girlfriend or "Turf" and who controls that turf (ages 12 to 25) usually. But, history is sort of like this as well where people are fighting over a woman or Women or land and there in the end is not righteous person just the winners who remain alive and the vanquished who are often dead along with their families.
It is one reason why I'm not really into sporting events that much because they are symbols of this kind of fighting where one side wins and the other loses, only in sporting events people don't usually die from this, (though they might be injured). However, there are monetary loses and gains. Usually the winners also win more money by winning. So, instead of dying the losers just don't make as much money as the winners. I suppose this is a lot better than dying. So, sports take away a lot of the violence of people competing so less people die (at least in this way).
What I try to do is to give a different perspective of people trying to make the world a better place, of people trying to invent things and cultures and ways of interacting so people don't all have to kill each other so much like they did while I was growing up around the world.
When I grew up it was the Cold War that some say killed about 100 million people. Some say World War II also killed 100 million people just in a shorter time than the Cold War did. So, world war II may have killed 100 million people from about 1938 to 1945. Whereas the Cold War killed about 100 million people between 1945 to 1990.
How many the Wars in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen and Libya and other countries have killed is anyone's guess right now.
However, the one thing I can say is that the primary cause of war has always been overpopulation in various localities all over the world.
So, wherever a whole lot of people are dying usually things have gotten out of balance. One reason that China has been doing as well as they are now is because they would only let people have 1 child each which was usually a boy. This is the primary reason they are not having more problems than they are now by the way.
The opposite has been true in the Middle East where Birth Control has been prevented by religions there. So, I'm thinking absolutely none of the warfare there (except for a few terrorists here and there) would be happening at all, if there had been birth control available to people and if people were educated that if they didn't use birth control that there would be 14 million refugees and untold suffering now if they didn't use birth control since 1960 now. However, now millions and millions are likely going to die in very awful ways while the whole world watches and there likely is nothing people can do in Europe, the U.S. or China or Russia to stop it from affecting them too, unless it is by dropping a nuke and killing everyone in the middle east, and that isn't going to happen.
So, for now, where there is no birth control, or (not enough) expect to see really awful wars into the future because of no jobs, not enough land, etc. People will be forced to turn to crime to survive (those that do survive) and the cycle will repeat itself worldwide throughout this century and beyond.
Not enough food and land available will cause more terrorists and more wars throughout this century. Look for this and you can predict where the next wars are going to be. It isn't about religion really at all. It is about "How bad does any person want to survive a bad situation?" And that is all.
If you look for this you can predict where the next wars are going to be. When there is a bad drought covering a large area where not enough food is grown you can also predict mayhem too. Because when there isn't enough water to grow food and there is no money to buy food people are going to freak out and start stealing other people's food and land. This is just human nature. There will be those who give up and die and there will be those who fight to survive. This is how the human race has always been for thousands of years already.
