Met someone new who had a burst appendix like me
She didn't have any of the classic symptoms that Doctors look for now days like elevated white cell count or a fever. She like me didn't have any of these symptoms either. However, the difference between she and I is she only lasted 1 day (24 hours) after they released her from the emergency room of a hospital with "Gastritis" which is how they defined my illness too. I'm not very experienced with doctors and emergency rooms so when they released me I just figured I was going to go back to my hotel room and die and that the hospital had failed me. So, I lasted about a week without dying (which I'm finding more and more is really a feat) with a burst appendix. And my wife, who is more of my medical and MD Advocate I didn't want her to see me die so I didn't ask her to come to me. So, she came up to my hotel room 5 days later when I thought I might not die I told her she could come help take care of me. A few days later I went back to the hospital and asked for an intestinal sonogram. They said the proper solution would be a CT Scan and I was operated on about 1 or 2 hours later because they told me I would likely die if we didn't do this. So, we did.
