For example, Bush was a brand new president still learning the ropes when 9-11 happened. There had been warnings of an impending attack as recently as the week before 9-11, however, these warnings were not taken seriously enough to avert 9-11.

 

However, in this case at least Bush listened to the warnings of the attack but discounted the possibility because some of the information sounded pretty outlandish that he got at the time.

 

However, the next week it actually happened. But, he was covered by at least listening to the fact that the attacks might be coming and so was legally covered from any direct liability of going to jail for negligence.

 

Trump has no cover once he gets into office. If he doesn't listen and an attack happens he either would be impeached or go to jail for it depending upon how many people die in the attack.

 

Big attacks like 9-11 are a complete paradigm shift for the whole world and not just for the U.S.

 

9-11 was as big a paradigm shift as when bullets and cannons were introduced to castles and knights in armor. 

 

It ended that whole era.

 

So, when passenger planes were turned into missiles bringing whole high buildings down we went through another serious paradigm shift.

 

Another paradigm shift took place in World War I when hundreds of British soldiers on horseback were all mowed down with German machine guns which was the permanent end of cavalry attacks on horseback early in the 20th century. 

Tanks taking cities also changed warfare forever too as tanks replaced Knights in armor driving through buildings and blowing the hell out of everything in their path.

So, 9-11 also was this extreme paradigm shift of passenger planes as huge missiles filled with jet fuel that could be flown into skyscrapers killing thousands of people at once.

So, if Trump just wants to cover his ass in regard to liability that could put him in jail or impeach him he needs to listen to intelligence briefings for this liability reason if nothing else.
