I think that all belief systems including all religions on earth should be seen in the same context.
Which is: Do these stories keep children from killing themselves by jumping off of cliff and jumping in front of fast moving cars and trucks?
If the answer is "yes" then I can see the usefulness of them. If the answer is "no" then maybe they aren't useful.
Defining whether ANY religion is ultimately true to anyone I don't ever think was the point really.
For example, many or all Disney movies give people hope who might not believe in any religion. However, if they didn't have Disney movies to comfort them they might off themselves in any way possible tomorrow.
So, asking whether any mythology is true or not or even asking whether any religion is true or not is not the important question to ask.
The important question to ask is: "Do these religions and mythologies give comfort to people and help them not to kill themselves when their relatives die or bad things happen in their lives?"
If the answer is yes they help then they are valuable to whoever they are valuable to. If they don't help a given person then that story isn't useful to that person.
But, to condemn a story useful to any other person is to be ignorant of what it really is to be a human being here on earth.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
