Otherwise you will have an 80% infection rate and that will kill 2.2 million Americans at most. So, the more states that "Shelter in Place" the less Americans will die (at least for now this spring and summer).
Because eventually everyone who lives has to become immune to coronavirus or die. So, a vaccine will literally save millions of lives around the world. I think I figured that 2% of 7.8 billion would be a maximum of 156 million deaths from coronavirus if everyone got infected right now worldwide which is a physical impossibility but within 5 years time everyone will either become immune or die or be vaccinated one of those three things within 5 years.
