why have we lost so many here in the U.S. to Covid

It was the perfect storm!

Not only for the U.S. but for Europe and the whole world. 

Countries that are free are also free to get Covid and die from ignorance too.

But, it wasn't white people mostly dying. It was mostly people of other races.

Part of the reason is that most white people were self disciplined enough not to get this virus.

Mostly because their wealth has been growing for hundreds of years and being passed down generation to generation. So, college was mostly easy for many white people. Whereas other races might have been suppressed and kept down through WHITE LAWS systematically for hundreds of years here in the U.S. too. 

So, this is one reason why so many people of other groups and races died and not many white people in comparison except for Trumpers died. Because Trumpers tended to be in denial of Covid because of Trump's stance which was never logical or rational in the first place.

But, part of the reason we lost so many is we were in a perfect storm where the freedom to be stupid was paramount in a pandemic like this one.

So, if you were not as diligent trying to find out about an appropriate response to coronavirus and you didn't own your own home and you weren't retired you might have died from coronavirus.

So, your belief system and even your politics decided a lot whether you were one of the 500,000 who died or not this last year.

So, if you were underprivileged in any way or undereducated in any way you were more likely to die this past year and likely this is true this next year too for sure.

Why?

Because variants are still rampaging the world at random. Variants like the one that killed 9 Yanomami children in northern Brazil. And so even getting vaccines isn't going to protect you from many of the variants being created right now in remote corners of the world that we are going to also have to face in the future.
