For example, when the Solar flares and solar winds began in earnest a week or two ago I got an atrial fibrillation and had to up my dose of heart medicine to be okay. However, something like this also happened in 2010 or 2012 when I took off from Kahului Airport, on Maui, in Hawaii where when I returned to the mainland to San Francisco I knew I was having heart problems. So, even though I hadn't taken a specific heart medication for around 10 years or so after heart problems in the late 1990s I had to return on this medication. The other thing that happened was that the internet running all the programs regarding airline reservations blew up and we almost couldn't take off from Kahului at all because it was so bad online. This also was caused by solar flares and affecting the internet and computers all over the earth. One day all magnetic memory will be lost when a big enough solar flare hits earth (at least the side of earth that the Solar Flare and solar wind hits.
So, this isn't an IF it is only a When when the next big Carrington event happens eventually which will likely cause all passenger jets to crash at that moment in time and cause all self driving cars to stop working suddenly shorting out the electricity with the EMP going down about 10 feet deep into the earth ON the side where it hits from the sun.
Basically if you study the Carrington effect all computers and planes who need computers might crash some electronically and some physically (the jet planes) that are hit by a large enough Solar Flare like the Carrington event. Then it started fires in 1859 at telegraph stations and the Aurora Borealis allowed people to read newspapers in I think Cuba at Midnight.
But, with a computer based world economy the damage likely would be at least a billion dollars to the world economy or more it is predicted by experts when this happens. So, imagine all magnetic memory wiped out like your hard drives on your computer. However, DVDs and CDs would survive the EMP. But, if your computer was deeper than 10 feet deep in the earth it might survive this.
