Enlightenment and Human Evolution

 I wish to make a statement here: "Enlightenment helps the human race evolve further and further into the future.

What is the basis of Enlightenment?

I would say it is educating yourself in all the ways possible for you to be better informed about all things you are interested in.

Education creates enlightenment.

Sincerity Creates enlightenment

Compassion for oneself and all beings Creates enlightenment

So, your moving towards enlightenment helps enlighten all mankind

Geshe Lobsang Gyatso

who my wife and I brought to the United States from India in 1986 was a Gelugpa Geshe which is sort of like a Doctor of Divinity in the lineage of the Dalai Lama which is Gelukpa. (both spellings have been used in the last 40 years or so.

He described to me how enlightenment actually works as a real thing in people's lives.

He said we all are connected to our families and friends and out to the general public in many ways so that mankind like this are sort of like the threads in a Handkerchief and as one of us becomes more enlightened this is sort of like grabbing the thread that we are in the handkerchief and lifting it. 

So, as one of us becomes more enlightened in all the different ways we lift up all those around us in various different ways both known and unknown to most people around us including ourselves

So, as one of us becomes more enlightened in this way all of us (to one degree or another because of proximity become more enlightened too.

This is why spending time around or listening to truly enlightened people on any subject that people study on earth lifts us and everyone around us too.
