Drove from Orange County to Santa Barbara Saturday

Luckily, this time we left at 11 Am and by 3 pm we were in Santa Barbara.

The last time we did this trip south we left too late at 1:30Pm because the ladies weren't ready until then so it took us until 6:30 or 7 pm to get to Orange county. And even then if my daughter hadn't used something like the App Waze or something it would have been a couple of hours longer than that.

However, when we drove my older daughter to the airport LAX it only took us an hour mostly because most of the traffic is between 101 and LAX basically when you are driving through Los Angeles County.

"If I'm not careful I'm going to start sounding like "The Californians" on SNL where they are always talking about the 405 and the 101 and whatever other freeway they are driving on in Los Angeles. Because between San Diego and Orange Counties and Los Angeles county there likely are about 20 different freeways and in addition to this also some toll roads now as well for people who don't want to get caught in traffic jams all the time.
