There is no other logical reason for doing what he is doing other than "Crony Capitalism where his buddies who are also billionaires can take the stock sold by Middle Class and under people who are scared from their 401 Ks and buy them at low prices and then sell them later at higher prices and make millions or billions of dollars doing this. Other than this the only reason I can think for doing this might be killing off millions of people on earth through starvation and enslaving as many people as possible as Trump's personal Slaves.
Other than these ideas it makes no sense at all what Trump is trying to do economically by destroying the whole World's economic Base including Europe and China. Makes no sense except for the above ideas.
