This is an Asian Saying about Enlightenment. I agree with it and have experienced this too.
But, what is also important is to be very practical about how you become enlightened.
I learned about Right Mindful Compassion from my Tibetan Lama Teachers.
They said there is idiot compassion that sometimes gets people killed (sort of like giving a 5 year old a race car that goes 200 mph or something like that.
And then there is Right mindful Compassion that is very practical like "Give a person a fish and they eat for a day. Teach a person to fish and they live for a lifetime."
So, compassion is good but it is best when it is practical for everyone around you (or as many people as possible).
So, the goal of course is: "To Drink of Enlightenment's Nectar"
And the key to this is kindness towards yourself and all other beings in as practical a way as possible.
By God's Grace
