I got to thinking about the heat today:

And of how many people around the world don't have air conditioning (or food) worldwide.

And realized how vulnerable I was when my air conditioner in my car shut down and crapped out.

It made me think differently than I have for awhile where I felt I might not survive today because of the heat with no air conditioning.

Normally, I'm not usually afraid for my wife and my life very much simply because we live in very safe places (relatively speaking) where I don't have to worry very much.

But, it wasn't always like this for example, I remember living in Venice, California for several months in 1969 when I was 21 years old and I never really felt entirely safe living there or several other places I have lived as a young man.

However, when you are young often you just think either that you are immortal or that you are going to die soon. I often told people between 18 and 21 up to 25 that I would be dead by 25. I actually believed this then.

So, there are a lot of changes we all go through in life if we ever survive to 25 or 30. In some ways you don't even recognize yourself at all from 18 to 25 or from 18 to 30. At least I didn't fully recognize myself because I had changed so very much.

However, I'm very adaptable unlike many people I meet. Moving to another town or area has always been pretty easy for me. I think this started with my grandfather (my Dad's Dad) when he took Electrical Contracts all over the western States from Washington to Texas to California, to Arizona. IN fact, my father was born in Morenci, Arizona while my grandfather was wiring up places for workers to live near the open Pit Copper mine that might still be there in 1916.
