Trump's demanding to Centralize Elections in one place will Kill American Democracy permanently if allowed

 The basis of our democracy has always been local first. This allows locals to elect not only local officials but also national officials. This also allows states to choose their own governors who aren't appointed by someone like Trump. What Trump wants is a single party under his control.

Would he live to implement this? This is doubtful on many different levels. However, what could happen is that something established by him could continue. For example, FDR never intended for the 50% tax on estates to continue and had promised that this would end. However, he died first during world war II.

Also, he wanted us on the gold Standard I believe and so forced the price of Gold to be ONLY 32 Dollars and ounce until the 1970s when it suddenly shot up to over 300 dollars an ounce over night and my uncle who was a gold bullion dealer at the time had to have a tax shelter so he started another business as a tax shelter because of this sudden change in value of Gold. This also affected many countries worldwide when our Gold prices shot up a lot here in the U.S. too. For example, the present price of Gold is over $4000.

The point is that often temporary measure taken by other presidents stay in one form or another even though something else was promised by them while they were president.

So, the far reaching changes of someone like Trump likely will be felt at least for a Century or more because FDR's changes still affect us now (both good and bad choices) today almost a century later.

For example FDR was elected in 1932 and was president until he died in but many of his policies still Affect Americans in both Good and Bad ways almost a Century later. He died in 1945 in April so he was the longest serving President so far in U.S. history.

So, unfortunately many things that Trump does now likely could have effects for 100 years too because of his executive Orders and manipulation of our Government away from the Democracy it once was.

Something to think about.

So, it doesn't really matter how long or short Trump's life is, the effects of Trump long term on our nation are actually the most important things both Good and Bad. However, I personally don't see any good at all coming from Trump because he has seriously harmed the Middle Class and Poor in this nation more than any other president in my lifetime. As he tries to erase completely black and native American and Mexican and other minorities histories and pretend their histories never existed.

This harms all minorities when they are not allowed to know about their heritage at all because of someone like Trump. Hitler did similar things in Germany and Europe whenever he could too.
