Most people ask "What do you Believe?" However, I think Why? do you believe what you believe is a much more important answer to arrive at because it is more useful and ultimately pragmatic than "What do you believe?"
I'm sorry if this question makes you feel uncomfortable but I find this a necessary question for anyone who ever plans on going to college for example. Because believe me, if you intend to go to college likely someone at your college likely will directly or indirectly ask you this question. Unless of course, everyone at your religious college believes exactly as you do. Then no questions at all will be asked because no questions about anything will be needed because you all will be going down the exact same dogmatic track. This is useful for some people but not for me. So I ask "Why do you believe what you believe?" so you take what you believe more seriously. People who ask this question more likely will wind up leaders within their countries. Because being able to not only ask real biting questions but live with real answers causes real world leaders to be born who can actually get things done.
However, the majority of people on earth tend to be too afraid to answer this question because it tends to bring up just one too many paradoxes in their lives that they cannot figure out or deal with. But once again, if you are going to be brave enough to actually be a real leader in your country in politics, business, medicine or whatever, you will have to both ask and live with the real hard answers that come from asking serious questions.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
