Though more X-Flares are the biggest concern to everything electrical on earth, it might also be useful to you to try to not fly during X-Flares like I did on the 8th without knowing it. None of us want more radiation than absolutely necessary in any given year. Unfortunately, radiation while flying is a possibility from Solar Flares and solar Ejections for the next couple of years in this very active sunspot solar cycle.
