quote from page 15 of "The Dalai Lama's Little Book of Wisdom" Published by Hampton Roads Publishing Company.
---"When I use the word 'spiritual' I mean basic human good qualities. These are human affection, a sense of involvement, honesty, discipline and human intelligence properly guided by good motivation. We have all these qualities from birth: they do not come to us later in our lives." end quote.
So, since I share this point of view that the most spiritual people are "Naturally spiritual" I found in my present wife about 3 years after marrying her these qualities. So, even though I had had training all my life with various religious and spiritual teachers I found in my wife (even though she has three degrees including a master's degree) someone who embodied this "naturally good person" that the Dalai Lama was talking about and I was completely amazed at this realization.
So, in the end no matter your training what is most important is who you were born as in the first place. If you are naturally kind and helpful and caring, this is the most important spiritual person or persons you will ever meet. In the end it is not about who you studied with or how much you know, it is whether you are genuine and honest and true and kind and helpful. So, if you meet genuine people assist them, help them for they are truly the salt of the earth.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
