There is something literally nicknamed the God Gene which if you have it allows you to believe in God and other ways of believing in regard to this. 9 out of 10 people have the God gene and 1 person out of 10 does not have the God gene.
I was speaking to my son about this and one of his friends obviously does not have the God gene. So, he was wondering how he could help his friend and really couldn't figure out how to help this person's life actually be better unless he had some sort of belief system including Buddhism which doesn't (formally at least) believe in God according to a western world viewpoint.
Because here is the real problem. Without a belief in God since 9 people out of 10 believe in God or something like that, when they choose a mate often a prerequisite for having children with someone is if they believe in God too. Because it is hard to raise a child to adulthood if they don't believe in God, because if they don't why should they go through all that and stay alive if they don't believe in God or a Higher power?
So, for women in choosing a mate often a belief in God and a respect for life is necessary for them to want to marry someone. And this is a worldwide truth no matter the religious preferences of that particular area on earth. Also, many people tend to not trust people who don't believe in God especially in regard to mating and marrying and having kids.
I think this is one of the reasons that only 1 person carries this gene in 10 I think is the reason I'm listing here is that most people on earth need their mate to believe in God in order to trust them. This likely doesn't affect other aspects of their lives that much except for getting married and having kids.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
