After I slightly injured my left arm at the elbow from cutting a large branch with an electric pole saw that glanced my elbow coming down I realized I was a little too old to be doing what I was doing (I'm 65). So, my wife and I called someone highly recommended. He charged us about 1100 dollars to do this with no damage to the house at all. This is pretty much a miracle because I couldn't even hear the thing slowly come against our house Friday night when the rains and winds were the heaviest over the noise of the storm. By the time they came I had removed about 750 pounds of limbs total. The tree likely weighed at least as much as my Toyota Tundra truck or more so we were very lucky it didn't do more damage. The tree trimmer had excellent equipment for trimming trees and was highly recommended and we have one other huge leaning dead pine tree that we need to remove as well but we have to get local permission from a forrester to actually do that so it might be a few weeks.
The tree trimmer told me that nearby (within a few blocks away from us) there is a big pine that came down and crushed a house that he is also removing and so he said we were extremely lucky not to have our home damaged by such a huge acacia tree. It also brought down our fence between our home and our neighbors part way too so I repaired it as best I could yesterday as well. I told him my wife is the luckiest person I have ever met.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
