What is a cell phone?
It is a personal communication device.
It is a phone that can text and send messages often
especially if it is a smart phone like a Windows, Android, Iphone or other smartphone.
It is also a way for all governments on earth on Earth (and all criminals who want to know) where you are at all time through the GPS of your phone. Because the way you are able to make phone calls is based upon where you are (within 3 feet) and where the other person is (within 3 feet) and where both of you are located in any time or space.
This is also true of any texts or emails you send while using your cell phone or smartphone worldwide.
So, just having your cell phone in your pocket whether on or off the world knows exactly (within 3 feet) where you are.
Is this a good thing?
It might be a good thing when you are lost and going to die in the cold or heat when you can reach someone to save you.
However, how positive this actually is except for the novelty of it all is quite debatable and will be for some time into the future the way things are now.
I think this worldwide addiction to communication always available (when within cell phone range of microwave towers) will eventually be thought of as something like being an alcoholic or drug addict. Because in the end these devices are self destructive. What do you think?
By the way, as of 2010 there were already 5 billion cell phones here on earth (which is many many more than there are flush toilets on earth).
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
