I was listening to the 2nd video at Wait What? Forum. It is a group of 4 people, one of whom is an astrophysicist, one is a paleontologist, One describes himself as an Army Doctor in Iraq, and one is an astronomer I believe. As I listened to them I came back to an idea that I have always had which is that earth is a Galactic Park which aliens love to visit but are very careful not to change because it is so quaint.
So, this Galactic Park is seen very much like a "Living Disneyland" in it's quaintness. It is something very remarkable in the Galaxy much like Yosemite National Park and Yellowstone National park in that People are sort of seen as deer here on earth by people from other planets. So, introducing themselves as what they really are to people of earth isn't useful to them because then it would be "interfering with the natural evolution of mankind and life on earth".
So, they come, they visit, they appear to be us or like us but they are not. It has been this way since earth had any life on it at all. It's still a Disneyland planet here in the Galaxy. So, where is the life from other planets? It's all around us and they also appear to be us because at their level of technology they can appear to be a rock, a building a mountain, a car, a human or anything at all.
So, they study us to understand themselves better and to make their cultures and lives better also. But, generally they don't introduce themselves because that would destabilize earth's culture from many previous historical experiences Galaxy wide.
Would they let us go extinct as humans on earth?
Yes. Because unless we can learn to create stable ecosystems for thousands or millions of years our cultures are not stable enough to be allowed to continue to exist here in the Galaxy anyway. So, if we can't do it allowing us to self destruct is considered the kindest thing they can do. However, we are not allowed to destroy earth in the process.
(Destroying earth mostly means blowing it up into pieces or atomizing it into dust. Remember, to an advanced culture, earth could always be terra-formed at any and all points in the future to literally any kind of life sustainable place anyone wanted to with the technology available and the means to do it.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
