actually I had the idea 50 years ago of building robots and buying them to replace you at work so you could write, travel and have fun instead of going to work all the time. However, it was 50 years ahead of it's time.
Now, however, it is the right time to hire (buy) a robot to work for you as your own business. You would contract your robot to a company to either work in your place or one like is mentioned in this article. Because within 25 years 40% of all jobs in the U.S. will be gone replaced by computers and robots of all kinds, including self driving cars, trucks, planes and ships. So, owning a self driving car, plane, truck or ship that makes money for you might be how people keep going in the future. If only big companies own all the robots and computers people will just starve to death around the world and that's all.
So, owning one or more robotic or computer devices or hybrid devices will be how most people survive in the future. If big companies have all the robots and computers people won't be alive who are poor or below middle class anywhere on earth at some point in the future (within 100 to 200 years is my estimate now).

MILLION-DOLLAR IDEA: A Robot That Goes To Work For You While You Stay In Bed
This idea: Chat with colleagues and move around an office or warehouse without leaving your home.
Known as a telepresence robot, the VGo robot is a mobile device equipped with microphones, a video screen, and camera.
Through Wi-Fi and broadband networks, users can control the VGo robot with a PC or laptop even if human and robot are in different states.
The robot costs $6,000 and includes a $100 monthly service fee.
Whose idea:VGo Communications.
The VGo robot and similar robots lets employees communicate with clients and other staff in a way that is more personal than with traditional video conferencing devices.
Although there is still no replacement for actual face-to-face communication, these robots take telecommuting to a whole new level. It might also mean "Rise of the Machines" is just around the corner.
