For example, I just discovered the real reason some people in California are panicking because of the weather. The Flooding will be as if 15 inches came down all at once. What is happening is the warmer storm is melting a few feet of snow in the mountains creating the effect of 15 inches of rain falling all at once. We haven't had this effect since the late 1990s and early 2000s at this point. I can remember driving back across the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys and the road I was on was the only thing not covered by water in many or most places because it was raised. So, it looks like this could happen once again. For example, a friend told me that Castella (just below Dunsmuir on Interstate 5 before you make it to Redding has a winter storm warning until midnight and then an extreme flood warning after midnight. So, keep your kids away from rivers and streams during these times so they aren't just washed away, especially in California and western states until the flooding clears up.
(Which actually likely means only Florida doesn't have snow out of all the 50 states because I know Alaska has snow and likely Hawaii has snow above 8000 to10,000 feet on the Big Island of Hawaii and on Haleakala on Maui.)
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
