A friend of mine had a flight out early Wednesday morning. But in a very unusual fluke 1 1/2 feet of snow fell in Medford and up to 4 feet of snow fell in places like Williams, Oregon. Tuesday night Interstate 5 was closed starting at Fawndale, California only 10 miles north of Redding, California. This was true likely to at least Medford and beyond at the very least Tuesday night and likely into the morning sometime Wednesday. At 6 pm Wednesday I checked the Google Map with Traffic on and saw it was green all the way from Redding to just south of Eugene, Oregon where the map said it was red and eventually orange likely from falling snow on the road or an accident caused by snow. But, my friend was trying to fly out and wasn't able to get a new flight out that wasn't snowed in until Thursday morning where they flew to portland and caught another plane to San Francisco.
So, even places like Medford and Ashland which almost never get snow are getting snow this year. So, be careful out there if places like this are getting snowed in how much worse is it further out into the forests? So, be careful everyone It's a very cold and snowy winter with much more to come according to the weather maps. Hope you all survive this winter this year.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
