I just realized that not only were Prince Albert of England and Czar Nicolas Cousins but also Czarina Alexandra Czar Nicholas' wife was the Grand daughter of Queen Victoria of England. I started thinking about this and the overthrow of Russian Czar Nicholas makes more sense in the context of his wife being the Grand daughter of Queen Victoria of England and he being the cousin of Prince Bertie who eventually became King Edward VII after Queen Victoria's death in 1901 until 1910 at his death.
Nicholas gave in, and he and Alexandra attended the ball. ... It was in fact, the last time that grandmother and granddaughter would see each other, and when Queen Victoria died in January 1901, pregnancy with her fourth daughter, Grand Duchess Anastasia, prevented Alexandra from attending the funeral in London.

Also, Bertie who later became King Edward VII of England who ruled from 1901 until his death in 1910 was the same cousin of King Nicholas of Russia. They looked so alike they could have been brothers.
