I can see how they are trying to store as much radiated water as possible. You can see all the tanks they are filling with radiated ground water trying to keep it out of the ocean. They likely are freezing the ground also to try to prevent the 50,000 years of radiation leaking into the ocean from there from one of the meltdowns reprocessing weapons grade plutonium which has a 1/2 life of 25,000 years. So, even though they likely are trying to freeze the ground to keep the radiation of the 3 meltdowns under ground from getting into the ground water and going out to sea, it is very very unlikely that they can succeed at this given the way water is. Even if you freeze the ground down 100 feet or more radiated water is going to find a way around into the ocean some way. I don't really see ANY technological way at present to stop this ongoing leak into all the oceans of the world from these meltdowns.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
