Leaked documents from the highest echelons of government said that there were 250 million Cases of Covid Actually in China during that same period which would be the largest Covid Outbreak known so far on earth.
So, we could see new variants eventually from this if People are free to travel in an out of China but even that wouldn't stop it because many people travel into and out of countries illegally whether that be up from Mexico from South American and other Central American countries or other places like China were people also travel into and out of the country where there are no legal border crossings.
So, if there are variants they are going to travel illegally first if borders are not open for travel there.
