I'm working on editing sections 1 through 11 and sections 12 through 18 of "Memories"

I have sent at least this portion of my writings to the publisher who is having my book edited. I considered adding more of my writings to this but he convinced me that you don't want to share too much or too little and you likely don't want to confuse readers with too much information. So, I'm trying to be consistent here in a useful way when something is actually going to be published for the first time beyond the basically unedited writings that I have shared online so far.

Early on in the 2000s I spent hundreds of hours trying to edit Chapters 1 through 11 of "Memories" because this seemed like a good thing to do. However, I realized at that time that I am more of a storyteller than a writer simply because my true stories are like my children in many ways so when I try to edit them it feels often like I'm harming my children in some ways. However, eventually you have to walk your daughters down the aisle as they get married and stuff like that. So, getting married is sort of what happens when your books get published your children become a part of other people's dreams and imaginations and maybe a part of their personal spiritual paths to God and happiness in life.

One of the things I deal with a lot is realizing how different language is used than when I grew up in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. In many ways I still speak and think a lot like I did in the 1960s and 1970s.

However, then I have a daughter who is now 27 and who went to the best private schools always here in my county in California who demands that I be more specific in how I speak and talk to her. But, this never works for me at all because when I grew up talking more generally was a mark of safety and you only shared with people that which was absolutely necessary, no more.

So, when she asks I be specific like a college student or professor I resist this because it just doesn't feel safe enough to me to talk that way still. Growing up, for example, I had to learn never to smile in school especially in Junior High School and High School because I didn't want to have to fight people physically or have extreme verbal arguments with people or have someone pull a knife on me or something like this.

Public Schools then were not safe and likely are not still safe to say much of anything to most people there here in the U.S.

So, learning to never smile and be the 6 foot 5 inch person I am kept me safe and alive and unharmed for the most part in life.

No matter how many times I share this with my youngest daughter she doesn't seem to get it because her life was never threatened that I know of ever because of being raised more wealthy than I was.

So, because of all of this I find people communicate much differently now than when I grew up and I worry sometimes that people will misconstrue what I'm writing about.

I'm less trying to entertain people and more trying to inform people who might not know how the Galaxy actually operates. This is what I'm trying to share with people the most.

Editing

I believe the main thing with Editing is "Don't throw the baby out with the Bathwater".

The problem I have with editing is that what I write are a lot like my children so editing often is like snipping the fingers or first digits off  my children. This is my specific problem with editing. Others of you might have different problems.

So, I tend to "under edit". But an even worse problem is "over editing" which destroys what you are writing to the point where you shouldn't have even written it in the first place.

Because of this, it is very important to keep an original copy and edit a secondary copy of whatever you are doing.

In this way if you "over edit" you can always go back to a previous version.

But, let's say you are writing a book. A book is much more difficult to edit because there is so much more involved.

You might edit a book once and think you are done. Usually, Nope.

So, how do you edit?

Do you let someone else rape your child?

This is even harder.

So, to me, editing is a completely impossible task.

But, just remember over editing is much worse than under editing.

What is hard is editing "Just the right amount."

I prefer to edit out misspellings using the spelling checkers. But, you will find this doesn't always work because it will find some words correctly spelled that aren't words at all that are really misspellings, and then you will find context errors as well so your verbs aren't in the right tense.

And then you will find times where you thought you wrote something but didn't. In other words it was in your mind but never arrived at your pen or your fingertips while typing on a keyboard or you forgot to say it if you were using voice to text technology.

However, the problem with Voice to text technology is that it is still only about 80% to 90% accurate at best. So, when you use it likely it is going to take 10 times longer to edit it. So, most of the time if I need to edit what I say then at some point I stop doing that because of the increased editing time.

However, sometimes voice to text is the only way you can get out a really great idea you might have. So, you have to consider all these things to come up with something really amazing that you are writing.

And sometimes amazing things will come in the night while you are dreaming and then the first thing you should do is to write these things down before you lose them. Because things that come to you while dreaming and asleep or just beginning to wake up often come direct for God to help all mankind. This is also my experience.

Don't ever underestimate what God is trying to do through you. This might be one of the most important things I'll ever say to you.

If you don't presently believe in God just remember I didn't believe in God from ages 10 to 15 that I didn't either then because I believed God was trying to kill me through Blunt Trauma childhood epilepsy. But, by age 15 I realized what God was trying to do through me which wasn't trying to kill me but to initiate me into a much more powerful and useful way of being to him. But this didn't happen to me overnight but came through a level of terror I wouldn't wish for any of you. But, it worked for me in changing me into an Intuitive that works for God.

If you read about the prophets in the old testament about their terrifying experiences with God then you can understand what I went through too. If God Comes to you you are terrified and then you die and become someone else. This is just the way it works in real life and always has and always will.

Video Blogs or Vlogs

Then there are video blogs or Vlogs which you could likely edit also to what you want it to be including joining through editing the best parts of many video logs into one that you might want to be put on Youtube or something like this. Once again you want to keep your originals so you don't electronically edit out the wrong things.

But, keeping track of what you want and what you don't want is very difficult so keep a lot of notes regarding all of this so you can find what you want when you want to instead of just sitting there screaming inside your mind because you forgot which was which.

Also, some times you need to just get up and take a walk or watch TV or talk to someone when you are editing because sometimes it just becomes too much to do. This is my experience anyway. Being clearheaded and not being angry about something in your life allows for better editing to so you don't completely destroy what you are writing as well.

The saddest thing of all maybe in relation to writing is people that get so angry that they throw away or burn their originals of their book or writings because they got angry about something or someone in their lives. Doing this in some ways is sort of like committing suicide vicariously. So, be careful of this if you are a serious writer.

My way of looking at life is this: "Life is a serious Game" but never forget it is as much a game as it is serious.

One of the very worst things you can do in life is to take it too seriously. For example, this is both the truth and a joke at the same time "No one gets out of here alive!"

So, until you can laugh at things like this you aren't going to get very far in life. This is my experience.

From my personal experience there are two kinds of people who don't make it to 30. The first doesn't take life seriously enough to make it to 30. And the second takes life just too seriously to survive to 30.

With that I think I'm done writing about editing for today.

Editing

This is why I find editing difficult. It used to be that writers would use typewriters and put page numbers at the top or bottom of each page they typed. So, then when you read something you could reference a page number when you went into edit.

However, now if you are writing at a web site like this one there are no natural page number ever (unless you figure some way to usefully do this).

I suppose one way would be to write everything in Word which might be a good idea. In this way you the writer would have everything broken into pages as if you were going to print the pages in your printer.

But that isn't usually what I do. I like to just write whatever I'm going to write and often I will publish something without editing it at all with just reading it through once or twice myself. So, there aren't page numbers on what I write even for myself.

So, this creates the problem that you have no idea where you are at all unless you have Chapters or headings you have created for different sections or have added pictures or things like this to what you have written as reference points.

So, if you have no real reference points when you go back in to edit in any form you have to do something like go up to "edit" and go up to the top and click on that. If you go down to where it says find you click find for a group of words where you want to edit and use that as a reference so you can find that place again. So, keep track of 5 or 10 words that won't be mistaken for another place. Those group of words are your way to find this place in your writings even if you have no other reference points for editing.

Often one is just reading for content and flow the first few times you read through. You are also looking for continuity and to make sure that things are congruent with themselves. For example, if you say someone is 64 and then forget and go back and later (months later) give that person a different age because you actually calculated that they couldn't be that age because of various other factors then at some point you need to choose an age that works in order for what you have written to have congruence with itself. Unless you have chosen to create a completely incongruent piece in the first place.

Then after checking for flow, congruence and continuity I like to check for context and spelling and stuff like this.

However, some people do all this at once and other people have all sorts of exotic systems of editing but most people really hate to edit what they write in the first place like I do.

My experience of editing might be compared to how much a healthy person would not want to be torturing a baby. Because when you write it is like your child and so you want your child to be happy and to make other people as happy as your child makes you. So, editing makes your child miserable usually and I find sometimes I harm what I have written by editing it which also makes me not want to edit what I write.

However, having someone else edit your work is even worse. It is like having your friend whip your children. This is how you likely are going to feel.

For me, writing is a very personal thing like having a child, so finding a way to deal with your child is a very personal individualistic thing that each of us has to find a way to deal with.

Editing

I am more of a storyteller than I am a writer. I realized that today as I was rereading what I had written recently in "more regarding 'As Drones evolve' 1 an 2.

So, the way I think about this is a story is about like a chapter you write. So, if you are writing fiction this is why writers often organize in an outline what they write before they write it. I haven't attempted to do this because I am a storyteller in a long line of storytellers. What a storyteller is began before TVs or radios existed and my father and grandfather were masters of this and so were always very popular in family gatherings because this is how most people entertained themselves before everyone learned to read and write and then radio and TV came along. So, understanding I'm someone who can relay what I'm aware of is a good thing but I'm not someone who organizes what I write like a writer of books actually is which is a much more disciplined art than what I do.

For me, the free flowing way one can tell a story (if one is in the right mood) is a very different experience to read or listen to than reading a book written from an outline.

So, one way to think about what a book actually is, is to think of it as many stories joined together in some kind of format. And usually all the stories are about only a few different characters and sometimes only one or two.

So, the art of actually writing a book might be the artful way you string together many stories. And I must say I'm not really a master at that yet.

Partly because I don't make outlines before I write something because I like the spontaneous nature of writing when inspired. In fact, I never write unless I'm inspired to do it at all. I feel I owe you this divine nature of inspiration or else I prefer not to write. This way it is more likely to lift your spirits to a better place than they were before.

So, this way the stories of life I'm telling are "Spontaneous Accomplishment" in that they are divine happenings created for the purpose of your ongoing enlightenment.

"Spontaneous Accomplishment" would be like when a flower blooms and you witness this first hand. Or see a hummingbird land on a flower to drink it's nectar, like that.

Editing

Editing for me mostly means "What do I keep and what do I delete?"

So, as an intuitive I write primarily for effect. My wish is to enlighten readers with helpful or entertaining ideas or hopefully both. However, what my writing means to me often is not what it means to someone else. After all, we all have completely different life experiences worldwide both culturally and religiously in all ways. So, finding something to write about that can be useful and helpful to beings in the past, present and future isn't always easy. So if I sense that one or more people take what I write in a way it was never intended I often delete what I wrote as soon as possible. It's just one of the perks of being an intuitive that I usually know the reaction to what I write. So, just know that my motivation is always to help all beings in their lives. And when the effect is something other than that I just delete it (no questions asked). I function from the premise of "If I sense I have a 50% or better chance of helping by something I write, say or do I usually go ahead and do it. That's kind of how I function. But if it doesn't work for some reason or other I just delete it. So I delete 25% to 50% of what I write within 24 to 48 hours after I write it for this reason.
