But, at least I got to live through all that insanity to where I married my present wife in 1995 so I could really enjoy the last 32 years with her.
The late 1960s and 1970s were really insane on so many levels I cannot begin to tell you unless you were there too as a teenager or young adult. There has been nothing like it before or since.
Was it good or bad?
It was both in a really extreme way to the point where I cannot personally believe I actually survived all that even to become a Dad and Get Married the first time at age 26.
So, what would I call from Fall 1969 until I got married in 1974?
I think the best words would be "The Agony and the Ecstasy"
That would be the most useful name of all.
Because I really can't imagine having survived all that the first time.
And any of you still alive from then probably feel the same way too especially if you lived any of those times in Coastal California.
I'm so glad I survived those times. I wouldn't have believed I would from 1969 until 1973 when my live in girlfriend got pregnant and I got married. Best thing that ever happened to me was to become a Dad. Much later my two daughters were also born and we also adopted another daughter who was born in 1985.
So, I have kids from age 30 to 52 biologically and an adopted Daughter who is 41 now.
What an amazing life it has been all the way here to 78 years old and it still is more wonderful every day!
