Latest Batman Movie
I saw the latest Batman Movie with family and a friend today. I found the movie very long but also very entertaining. I think I liked it better than the other Batman Movies I have seen. It is sort of like seeing about 3 Batman movies because it has such a diverse plot. At the beginning he is recovering from the last movie and dealing with the death of the woman he loved and his injuries. In the next section he sort of takes back his life and becomes Batman again. Then (I don't want to spoil the movie) he sort of goes through a third incarnation of sorts in this movie. So, this plot is very diverse and rich and dark and unexpected at almost every turn. So, in this way you sort of meet yourself coming and going and are never too sure about any of the Characters except maybe Bain all the way through the movie. In some ways it is comforting to have Bain there as a foil because everything else just takes you to places you completely don't expect them to. So, as a member of audience you know you can count on Bain to just be ultimately evil and nothing else. So, in this sense having him there being what you expect him to be is sort of comforting and allows all the machinations to go on in such a way that you can actually deal with the whole plot going every which way but the way you might expect. Good movie. I think it is somewhere between a B+ movie to an A- movie. So, it is very well done.
