What Drives the Kremlin's Syria Policy
I couldn't get the article to print here so You will have to click on the above button to read it yourself.
I don't agree with this point of view at all. However, in reading it one better understands what Putin's position is from a historic Soviet Union point of view. (Sort of). I really don't know quite how to read all this but it is likely helpful to more completely understand why the Kremlin and Putin are going in this direction rather than another. I think the world hopes there is a way to not only save lives but to prevent another conflict with major world powers involved that might remind some of World War II. But that can't happen can it? Hopefully a way will be found without too many million people dying throughout the middle east. The problem with what is happening in Syria is that no one nation or even all nations on earth are in control of it at all, certainly not Syria. It is Chaos Theory in action. However, where it is presently leading likely might be fairly horrific at this point because too many people are really pissed off in a way I haven't seen since the Cuban Missile Crisis Worldwide.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
