The title is the motto of our American ancestor Pioneers the last 400 years now since the early 1600s when people first came over to what is now the U.S. from Europe.
However, even if you don't believe in Global Warming, Solar Flares or a Geomagnetic Excursion or even a Polar Shift, you do know something is going on when double the number of 1 Billion dollar damage or more storms are occurring now that used to just in 1980.
So, how do you prepare for something like this?
I suppose it depends on where you live. When I look forwards in time the single biggest change I have seen the last 10 years of looking forwards in time the next 100 years is much stronger and faster winds.
So, when winds exponentially increase because of increasing heat in air and oceans and on lands, you see the effects which tend to be droughts (drying up the land), Floods(heating up the oceans so more rain bearing clouds are created), Hurricanes (also heating up the oceans so Hurricanes get stronger and go further northwards (and southwards south of the Equator).
Once you know that this is going to happen you can begin to plan how to better survive with your families. It will govern where you buy land and even where you choose to live and work eventually if you want to actually survive all this.
However, here is the problem, it takes a lot of time for the power to increase and then when it hits it is always pretty unexpected (like Hurricane Irene, Sandy and Katrina). So, we know these things are coming and will get worse over time. HOwever, we don't know where and when they will hit.
But, you can plan for this to happen by not buying a house where these kinds of problems are likely to occur. If you already own a home where these things will occur then just make sure when they are coming (If you watch the weather channel you will get a good idea of when they are coming) make sure you take your family to safety, and if you can sell your home in a dangerous area and move to a safer area.
This is how to financially and to physically have a better chance of surviving Global Climate Change everywhere on Earth (but especially in the U.S.).
note: In regard to winds I see them increasing everywhere on earth. This means that the great Plains of the U.S. (because of higher wind tornadoes which will do more damage) and the Gulf coast all the way up the East Coast( because of stronger and further north hitting Hurricanes and stronger northeasters) are very problematic for these areas.
In the west because of high winds and breezes and rising waters in oceans from polar melting and glaciers melting all over we need to look out for Tsunamis both earthquake caused and high waves hitting the shores caused by increasing winds from the ocean heating up and freak high wind and high rain storms. This is especially problematic near large mountains like the Sierras and the Cascades and Coastal mountains and the Rockies which will cause flash flooding in these areas as the amount of rain at one time in cloubursts increases in some storms combined with higher winds.
If you look at extreme winds all over the country they are increasing in frequency above 100 mph and even above 80 mph. If you have ever tried to stand up in a 100 mph gust or higher (I have) you won't do it for long unless you are holding onto something like a tree or light pole or vehicle. Otherwise you will be blown down in gusts of over 100 mph again and again until you are too injured to get up.
At that point you have to get a rope and tie yourself to something when it goes above 120 mph because you will start to literally fly away on the wind if it is sustained at that speed or higher.
So, preparing for the rains, the floods, the droughts and the winds is necessary for everyone serious about surviving on earth from now on. Because the winds only increase for the next several hundred years in general and so do the temperatures worldwide.
It will get to a point eventually(over the next 100 years) that not preparing for all this will simply be a process of natural selection and people who don't prepare won't be around anymore. That is what I have seen in the future and also watched come true as an intuitive the last 20 years or more now.
