People often say that CO2 and Greenhouse effect is the primary cause of Global Climate change. But is it really?
Sometimes I think it is a dodge for what might be the real culprit: The magnetosphere collapsing.
There are reasons that a magnetosphere collapses and two of them are a Polar Shift (the north pole becomes the south pole and the south pole becomes the north pole). This happens about once every 250,000 years to 500,000 years or so. This is one explanation for Global Climate changes because with this comes mass exinctions of up to 90% of all flora and fauna on the planet. This Polar shift happens during about a 10,000 year period.
2nd: there is another similar type of event that is called a Geomagnetic Excursion. A Geomagnetic Excursion is when the north and south poles move all over the place the way the north pole has been moving since around 1900 with ever increasing speed. Around 1900 it was moving at about 5 miles a year, and now it moves at least 40 miles a year which is why magnetic north is no longer reliable completely for navigation so the U.S. and other countries put up geosynchronous orbit GPS satellites for planes, Ships, cars, people and cell phones to know where they are within 3 feet anywhere on the planet.
Weather changes and plant and animal extinctions take place during polar shifts and Geomagnetic excursions and sometimes the Geomagnetic field goes down to zero to 10% of normal for hundreds or thousands of years. During that time the DNA of everyone above ground on the planet mutates and only things that live 10 feet or more underground aren't mutated in some way shape or form by these changes. Also things that live under the ocean probably beneath 50 or 100 feet in the ocean would also not be affected by Cosmic rays because the likely couldn't get that deep in the water either.
HOwever, all plants and animals (including human beings) would be mutated if they were exposed to too much radiation during these times too. The most radation is when you are an astronaut. the 2nd most radiation is when you are an airline pilot or STeward or Stewardess. So, flying all the time might sterilize some people just like they ask all astronauts to have all their kids before they fly into space. Because they won't be able to have kids after they go to the space station.
