In regard to the U.S. bombing Iraq and Syria people they aren't really going to understand the U.S. anymore than they understood the motivations in 2002 for invading Iraq.
Think about it this way. Instead of us bombing Iraq, imagine that U.S. planes are bombing a U.S. Army or Marine base here in the U.S. Say, your family has gone to visit relatives there at that military base while the U.S. is bombing there. How do you feel now that all your relatives or some of your relatives are dead and the rest are maimed for life and can't ever work again?
This is the ongoing problem and why ISIS will continue to get recruits.
In the end the U.S. can only defend it's own security. It can only defend the oil coming up out of the ground. But, in the end that likely is going to cause more recruits for ISIS which is a vicious cycle we are living in now ever since 9-11.
People in Iraq and Syria, most of them don't have a high School education, they don't have a knowledge of English. They don't understand U.S. History or British History. They don't understand what the U.S. really is. They don't understand who American Soldiers or our fighter pilots are.
They just see relatives being blown up and they are really really scared and terrified of both the U.S. and ISIS. It all depends on who they presently now fear more. That will depend what side they are on today and what side will they be on tomorrow?
