Women who have been abused in a variety of ways growing up are more likely to yell rape when it didn't really happen. It could have been verbal abuse or non-sexual physical abuse or a combination of factors. Often these women have never been taught how to be practical or to see life in a practical useful way either. So, their reality is going to be skewed because of abuse of one kind or another all their lives.
However, their stories that might have no basis in reality harm women who actually have been raped and need protection. So, the lack of reality in some women is harming the practical women who might have actually been raped and now need protection because it has now caused them severe psychological and physical problems ongoing.
So, how do we protect the actually raped and separate them from women who are living in a fantasy or nightmare of some sort.
I don't have the answer to this question. Maybe you do. But until we do this dichotomy harms all women in a really unacceptable way.
