This is likely a good thing for northern California now because the flooding and trees coming down has been pretty extreme, especially the flooding.
Though it is supposed to continue lightly raining here until around noon today most of the major crazy rain has passed and the heavy winds that brought trees down preceded that extreme precipitation.
So, we can now see the fulness of what we are dealing with better in regard to repairing whatever damage isn't permanent in the North state. Besides, the south really needs the water too, except for the burn areas which are going to likely go into mudslides from this heavy a rain.
Also, at the peak of power outages yesterday, 400,000 homes and businesses were without power. As I write this this morning this has been reduced to 34,000 people without power in the SF Bay Area.
However, now, people are being evacuated from Camarillo springs from mud and rock slides and now Azuza in some areas is being evacuated both mud slides are being caused by burn areas sliding down into homes.
3 to 5 inches of rain hitting the Los Angeles and Orange County area and 1 to 2 inches in San Diego area during this morning's (Friday morning's work commute).
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
