Crazy intense rain

I can't remember rain this hard or this constant for several years now with this much wind blowing. Every so often you will here sirens or a huge tree within a few blocks of here going thud with a very definite huge tree coming down (hopefully not on someone's house). We had one fall against our house last year in a storm and we got a really good tree removal man who was able to get it off our house with little to no damage which was very fortunate. I thought about doing it myself but realized I was too old and not really skilled enough to pull this off. So, I was really grateful to have that tree gone without damage to the house and without breaking any stain glass windows on that side of the house.

This is definitely something really different hitting us now that I might not have seen before in the atmospheric river they call it.  Right now, it is supposed to rain every day but two until a week from Monday which will be quite a lot of rain for California.

Since we have 14,000 foot altitudes down to sea level this can be dangerous in a place like California to get this much rain this fast when all this rains moves really fast in these altitude changes. If you are in the way when this happens you might see your car floating along in a sea of mud down a highway. And hopefully you will survive this if this happens to you unexpectedly.

I'm just grateful not to be in a Flood plain or next to a river right now because that could get really serious very fast at this point with this much rain coming down all at once.
