Making Driverless Cars mandatory?

This is actually a position taken in an article in Time Magazine. And they take this position because of the 32,000 plus death a year on the Highways.

However, to me, this is one of the most insane positions I have ever heard of. It's like saying, "Your laptop should run your life and you should give up all control to it because you might make a mess of your life!"

I suppose this insane logic starts with, "If you don't wear seatbelts one day you might die. Then it moves to, "No one is safe with rifles and pistols so we are going to take them all away from you for your own safety because you are all children who will never be responsible." Then it moves to, "Because 32,000 accidents happen on our highways every year we are taking away your right to drive a car."

How insane is this?

What if I don't want my laptop to run my life completely? What if I want to drive a car because I'm a human being and not a robot yet?

So, my response to "Making driverless cars mandatory is basically: "Fuck you, Insane people!" "How retarded and uninformed are you?"

Computers are not God. You are not God and you do not have the right to take away either guns or the right to drive a car from people. You are insane!

Self driving cars are NOT safer than human drivers. They are ONLY safer if we don't have a solar flare that knocks out GPS satellites. They are ONLY safer when dust or water doesn't get into the digital or motor mechanisms of a self driving car or when water or dust or dirt or snow doesn't blind the visual parts of the device from seeing adults, children or animals outside a car. They are only safer when a software malfunction is not occurring. They are only safer when their interaction with all other self driving and non-self driving cars is perfect. How many times has ANYTHING ever been perfect on earth that you have ever seen?

So, in the end, they are NOT safer, in fact I would refuse to even ride in a self driving car EVER unless I had the ability to take over when a self driving car endangers people inside or outside of a car.

This will ALWAYS be my position on all this.

People talking like this are Retarded people likely funded by Google and other self driving car manufacturers!

My position has to be that self driving cars not only should always be optional, humans need to keep driving cars and trucks to avoid the deaths of thousands to millions during solar flares and weather catastrophies. Because over time there will be a lot of these that could kill thousands to millions of people on that side of the planet where the flare hits within a few seconds of when the flare hits.

People will be better able to take care of themselves if stupid people wanting to make money turning us all into helpless creatures don't interfere with our lives.

If you want to actually read this completely retarded article it is on page 54 of the latest March 7th 2016 Time magazine. Unbelievable!

And on page 55 in bold print you will see the statement which is completely stupid and ridiculous:
"Because the gulf between human an machine is so vast- and growing-the next step after making driverless cars legal will be making them mandatory.

Who is building these self driving cars humans or robots?

IF it is robots how many jobs are being lost to humans building these self driving cars?

How many jobs worldwide will be lost to men (because driving is the single biggest employer of men worldwide)?

How many millions of unemployed men will this craziness create?

How many revolutions will be spawned by this technology?

How many people are going to die because of this insanity?

I can see self driving cars being optional and mostly not practical.

However, making them mandatory is completely insane for hundreds of reasons.

A person has to be retarded to advocate this and have no technical knowledge

whatsoever. This is retarded!
